High School/Blue Car Project Committee The Committee coordinates and staffs the High School/Blue Car Project, an innovative “preventive law” educational program for high school students. Volunteer lawyers go into high school classrooms to teach basic principles of contract, tort, insurance and consumer law. Originally conceived around the theme of buying a used blue Chevy (hence the name), the Blue Car Project provides an opportunity for practitioners to spend about an hour with high school students, providing them much needed practical information before they get behind the wheel of a car. The students are a captive and insightful audience and benefit from the information shared as well as from the opportunity of interacting with attorney volunteers. |
