MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING

OF THE BARRISTER BOARD OF GOVERNORS

BEVERLY HILLS BAR ASSOCIATION

May 11, 2005

The regular meeting of the Board of Governors of the Beverly Hills Bar Association was held at the offices of the Association at 300 South Beverly Drive, 2nd Floor, Beverly Hills, California, pursuant to a written notice.

Board Members: Irena Raskin, Tom Vidal, Robert Lance, Jeff Eichmann, Barak Berlin, Wendy Freedman, Damon Heilweil, Sean Novak, Josh Belkind,* Jessica Lesowitz* (*new board members)

The meeting was called to order at approximately 12:15 p.m.

A. Elections (Vidal). Results for installation of new officers (2005/2006): Jeff Eichmann, Secretary, Robert Lance, Treasurer, Wendy Freedman, President-Elect. Election of two new board members: Josh Belkin, Jessica Lesowitz.

B. Public Service & Community Outreach Report: (Freedman) Next meeting will be with Justice 2005 Committee and Morality and the Law program.

C. Financial Report: Carl Sinclair presented Barristers’ Statement of Activities with contribution by Pam Weston. Encouraged Barrister participation on Budget & Planning Comm. and Counsel on Section and Committee Chairs: June 16, 2005 at 5:30 p.m.

V. Discussion Items & New Business

A. Deadlines on Demand. Subsidiary of CompuLaw; discuss low-cost technology for smaller firms. Pay for use 50% off the normal price.

B. Vintage Bouquet: (Heilweil) June 12, 2005 at Greystone Mansion. Largest number of restaurants participating.

C. Law Day (Ben-Cohen): 30 people in attendance. Sent advertising and mailing to 200 people.

D. Golf Tournament: May 14, 2005 at the Malibu Country Club. SOLD OUT!

E. Barrister Workshops (Berensci/Mella): Entertainment Nuts and Bolts program a success. Repeat at Pepperdine Law School.

F. CFTA (Raskin): Next meeting May 26, 2005 at 6:30 p.m.

G. Seniors Law Project (Lance): Monthly news project.

H. Int’l Law Comm. (Lance) June 2. Upon returning from travel, email Robert Lance pictures and three or four sentences on countries.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
