2009-2010 Barristers  Committees

Law students are encouraged to join the Beverly Hills Bar Association as student members and participate in Barristers events. Student membership in the Barristers provides an opportunity to socialize with fellow law students and attorneys, make valuable professional contacts, learn about various fields of the law, and make a difference in the community.

Monthly Barrister Board of Governors meetings are open to law students and provide an excellent opportunity for students to meet attorneys from a variety of practice areas, get the latest information on upcoming Barrister programs, and listen to guest speakers who often include local judges.

The Barristers also host brunches for a group of students from each of the local law schools, including Pepperdine, Loyola, USC, UCLA, Southwestern, La Verne, and Whittier law schools. These brunches provide an opportunity for law students to get acquainted with the Beverly Hills Bar Association at the beginning of their legal career and learn how to make the most of their membership.

Upon being admitted to the bar, attorneys in their first year of practice enjoy one year of complimentary membership in the Barristers. Contact Barrister board members  Amanda Hill, Marilyn M. Moore or the student liaison at your law school to get involved.
