This committee coordinates and staffs another innovative "preventive law" project, the Citizen's Law School.  The Citizen's Law School is a free educational program for the general public, providing a basic overview of such fundamental legal issues as family law, estate planning, and taxation.


15th Annual
CITIZENS LAW SCHOOL


A practical class for dealing with some of life's more important legal matters

Empowering citizens with basic information about their legal rights and options is the mission behind the Beverly Hills Bar Association's 15th annual admission-free Citizens Law School, which will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2006 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Roxbury Park Community Center, 471 South Roxbury Drive, Room 103, Beverly Hills.

The half-day seminar, designed for non-lawyers, will be presented by attorney members of the Beverly Hills Bar Association in a straightforward, easy-to-understand manner and cover three general topics: Estate Planning and Conservatorships, Divorce and Family Law, and Rights and Obligations of Landlords and Tenants. For those who would like more in-depth information about specific legal matters, a number of attorneys will also be available for free one-on-one question and answer sessions. Attendees will receive a free volume of reference materials.
