Where The Money Comes From
 

In the rapidly changing world of music, it is more important than ever for the legal, business and financial representatives of songwriters, composers, artists-writers and music publishers to know where songwriting and publishing money comes from and how the deals are structured. This panel reveals the money and the types of deals being made in the areas of music in videogames, downloads and streaming, ringtones and ringbacks, major studio and independent films, television series, interactive toys, advertising commercials, Broadway, and will advise on how to effectively negotiate for your client.
 

SPEAKERS:

Todd Brabec and Jeff Brabec are co-authors of the preeminent treatise now in its 6th and updated edition, Music, Money and Success: The Insider’s Guide to Making Money in the Music Business.
 
Todd is Executive VP and Director of Membership for ASCAP, the world’s largest performing rights society. Jeff is VP of Business Affairs for the Chrysalis Music Group (representing the catalogues of OutKast, Blondie, Paul Anka, Billy Idol, Jethro Tull, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, A3 [The Sopranos theme], My Morning Jacket, Johnta Austin and Brian Burton [Danger Mouse]).
