Air Release Form: Discussion of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Michael Meyer of DLA Piper is one of the country's leading attorneys representing tenants in major commercial lease transactions and a frequent speaker at conferences on lease topics. Mike will discuss how to effectively use (or not use) the AIR Form, pointing out some of its advantages and disadvantages. For example, the AIR Form does not provide a Tenant with complete protection from loss of its lease if the initial lender or ground lessor forecloses, or for rent abatement when there is damage and destruction, or in the event of an assignment or sublease "in violation" of the Lease, constructing alterations and estoppel. This promises to be a lively discussion, so bring your questions.
