2015 Copyright Year in Review:
New Cases and Future Predictions in an Ever-Changing Legal Landscape
2015 was an eventful year in the world of copyright law. Not only did court decisions shake up our understanding of copyright principles and practices, but lawmaking and regulatory developments highlighted the changing copyright landscape. Join us as we welcome back our esteemed speaker, Professor Betsy Rosenblatt, director of Whittier Law School's Center for Intellectual Property Law, who will be discussing recent copyright law developments, cases, and themes, including Lenz v. Universal Music Group (the dancing baby case), Google v. Garcia (the "Innocence of Muslims" case), Williams v. Bridgeport Music (the "Blurred Lines" case), Authors Guild v. Google (the "Google Book Search" case), regulatory developments regarding the DMCA, and more. This program will provide important information for copyright holders, internet service providers, media and technology companies, and others affected by copyright.
