Labor & Employment Law Section
Even though "PAGA" has been around for 15 years now, the litigation surrounding it continues to increase. Plaintiffs now bring PAGA claims both in tandem with wage-and-hour class actions and independently. Defense counsel seek ways to stop the claims dead in their tracks. And each year courts grapple with new issues. Our speakers, George Abele and Chris Jalian of Paul Hastings, will highlight the current disputes and explain the practical impacts on employers, employees, and litigants today. They will provide an advanced look at the statutory history and requirements and issues that regularly arise in litigation. This program is a must for any litigator and particularly for those who handle employment claims.
