The tight labor market has made hiringand losingtop employees a major challenge for any employer. The challenge is heightened by Californias restrictions on non-competition agreements, which impose stringent rules on what employers can do to prevent current employees from taking their employers valuable information and relationships to greener pastures.

This presentation is designed to help California employers:

Know when Californias rules on non-competes are triggered;
Pinpoint problematic boilerplate language in form employment documents that may run afoul of California law;
Identify and correct common misconceptions about how Californias unfair competition rules play out in the real world; and
Devise practical solutions to protect their trade secrets and relationships.
