Trista Gonzalez has worked for the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (formerly the Board of Equalization) for more than 24 years. She was appointed Chief of the Business Tax and Fee Divisions Tax Policy Bureau in November 2016. In this role, Trista oversees the development of policies and procedures related to the tax and fee programs administered by the CDTFA, as well as online services and taxpayer education. Previous to this role, she held various staff and supervisory positions within the department. She started her career as a sales and use tax auditor in the CDTFAs Oakland office. Trista has a bachelors degree in Business Administration  Accounting from California State University, Chico.

Ms. Gonzalez will provide us with an update on issues related to the CDTFAs tax policies related to the commercial Cannabis Industry.
